Nelspruit Medi-Clinic

Earlier this year, nursing executive Estelle Jordaan undertook to donate 100 minutes of her time to return to the patient bedside as part of an International Year of the Nurse campaign. Last week she did just that. She enjoyed it so much that she ended up spending 250 minutes at Nelspruit Medi-Clinic, doing what she was trained to do and loves doing: caring for vulnerable people and reaffirming her commitment to her profession.

Medi-Clinic second in environmentally-friendly JSE companies list

Medi-Clinic Corporation once again illustrated its commitment to environmental matters with a joint second ranking in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index and Performance Rating of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) 2010. The company outperformed 70 other businesses, including Woolworths, Vodacom, Old Mutual and Netcare, on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Top 100 list in managing its carbon footprint. The CDP is a JSE initiative in which 74 listed companies volunteered information on their carbon emissions.
