In keeping with providing #realhelprealfast, ER24 has to ensure that all aspects of the business are of the highest quality, including our expansive fleet, to ensure the best service for our patients and clients.
Over the past few months, ER24 has been rolling out its new fleet of specialised ambulances. These vehicles will be distributed to our 59 branches across South Africa to provide the necessary, quality care that is associated with our name.
Peter van der Spuy, ER24: General Manager Quality Assurance and Support Services said, "We have spent a great deal of time, effort and research with the development of our new ambulances. We have involved our operational crews in understanding their operational requirements for enhancing the patient journey, as well as with industry specialists, to ensure the vehicles meet the needs of superior patient care and the comfort, safety and enhanced work environment of the crew.”
There have been numerous changes to the vehicle design, including maximising and optimising internal space, crew panic alarms, additional emergency warning lights and specialised internal conversions, incorporating the latest materials and designs. These changes and additions provide for a clean and clinical modern workspace and are aesthetically pleasing, which has been designed and purpose-built to our high clinical standards.
"We have completely redesigned the vehicle layout. This brings an ultra-modern design, whilst adhering to the various legislative requirements and, addressing the safety of our staff and patients.
“The new generation high roof Toyota Quantum, which has long been the vehicle of choice for our operational environment, were proudly supplied by Barloworld Maponya Soweto Toyota.
The vehicle is then delivered to ERESA, our chosen specialists in the emergency conversion field. They have included numerous safety and security measures, including extra internal lighting, smash-and-grab, and a more visible emergency warning system. This will ensure not only the safety of the patient but the crews as well," said Peter.
By using market leaders and quality products, and infusing our core values, ER24 can maintain a high level of care to our patients and clients, whilst ensuring the visibility and safety of our operational crews.
Well done to the team of Peter Van Der Spuy, Rhett Davis and Riaan Visser for flying the ER24 flag high.
