ER24 Western Cape East Metro
Branch of the Year: Coastal Region
Armand du Plessis, Branch Manager:
Q: How does it feel to be named branch of the year for the Coastal region?
A: I am incredibly proud to be part of the WC East Metro team. The award came as a surprise. We had our fair share of challenges and changes over the past year but adapted quickly and dealt with them very well. Our success was only possible through the hard work, dedication and sacrifices made by each member of the East Metro team.
Q: What do you believe your team has that makes you unique?
A: Our team stands out in many ways. We're a diverse group from various backgrounds, age groups, races, cultures, languages, and religions. We have different qualifications and experience levels in the EMS industry. What truly sets us apart is how we complement and support each other to achieve our main goal: providing the highest standard of service to the communities we serve. We lead by example for other services and organisations. The core values of ER24 are the foundation of everything we do.
ER24 Harmony Kusasalethu
Site of the Year
Jacques Klue, Base Manager:
Q: How does it feel to be named site of the year?
A: It is an honour to be named site of the year! It is also good for employee morale as it gives them the feeling that their work and efforts are appreciated and valued. A lot of hard work goes into running an industrial site for ER24. It requires long hours, and a determination to ensure that the site is compliant and compatible and that you have a good working relationship with the client and their partners.
Q: What do you believe your team has that makes you unique?
A: Working in a mining environment isn't for everyone—it requires dedication, determination, and a positive attitude. Our team excels because we embrace these challenges and work seamlessly across various departments. To thrive in this setting, you need to stay focused and consistently perform at your best, especially during critical times.
